daisy kate reading a book to H.  the girls are SUPER great at taking care of him.  reading books, singing songs, pushing him in the swing, waking him up when i ask them to, being quiet while he's napping, turning on lights for him, getting clothes or plug for him..... and have a mentioned that they continue to smoother him with literally about 30 kisses a day... EACH!

 he's almost ready to be sitting on his own... maybe in another 2 weeks?

 bless daisy kate.  she is most often skipping her naps - and just playing during her quiet times these days.  occasionally... it catches up to her... this is right after supper and before going to puggles (awana)  she took at 10 minute nap with auntie jane.

H's 4 month appointment... he is back on the charts.
he is 19 pounds 4 ounces
26 inches long
his 2nd chin is starting to slim down and his is all baby.  no more new born for our lil guy.

also- sally had her 4 year appointment.
40 pounds 4 ounces... JUST big enough to move into a booster seat instead of her car seat!
and she is 40 inches tall.
she also screamed and cried thru 3 shots.... yes, i cried to as i helped hold her down.... why can't it be a requirement that dad must take their kiddos in for the shots?  breaks my heart.

ok. i'm tired.... H randomly was up and crying for about 2 hours last night... gow and i tag teamed it.
going to bed.

 happy birthday to our sally jane gowan!  God's Princess through and through!   & cheers to Daisy Kate who soooo gracefully let the day be all about her big sister.  we are proud of you DK!

good morning

 good morning..
wow, they changed my blog set up.... good grief.  i am gonna have to figure this out.  but until then..
HAPPY BDAY to my brother!  love you Neal!  it's a JOY to be able to be an adult and still share life with you and your family.  you are awesome.  and I thank God for you!

the girls and i made pumpkin bread a few weeks ago.  it literally was an all day event as we would accomplish a few steps, then H would wake up.  then we'd do a few more steps and it was lunch time.  then a few more steps and then someone needed the potty.   =)    
but i am finding it really fun to let the girls help out more and more in whatever task i am attempting.  it definitely takes about 5 times as long.... but they love it. and i love sharing it with them.

our happy, smiley boy.    H will be 4 months old tomorrow.  crazy.  he is wearing 12-18 month onsies, 12 month pants, rolls from his tummy to back, is ALMOST ready to be sitting on his own, has a deep raspy voice and has the deepest dimples ever. =)

gow is suppose to have a day off tomorrow!  it will be his first one in 2+ weeks.
we are STOKED! STOKED! STOKED!

i think this is my fave season. spring.

some days it is warm - sleeping with the windows open, shorts and tanks.
some days it's cold- the heater's back on and we are bundling up.
some days it's raining - lightening and thunder storms absolutely thrill me.

i love the change. i love that it can change and be all three of those all in one day! =)

monday, milwaukee and exchange

howdy.
today is monday.
and one of my favorite days of the year... cuz cyndie is doing her clothing exchange!
she does an exchange to raise $$ for a house/school/mentoring home for teenage girls.
you donate gently used items and then have a ladies night out while shopping (all items only a quarter) snacking and just enjoying being together.
there are 80+ rsvps.... it's gonna be great.

gow's in milwaukee- working crazy on for a high profile client.
and trying his darndest to be home in time to get me out the door.
he has had a nutso week... pray with us to make it thru this next week.

its cold, windy/stormy - some of my favorite spring weather. i love lightening and thunder... shows God's power!

sometimes DK falls asleep during our afternoon show... the girls are cute in that they always sit together. and sally tells daisy that she can sit close to her when there are scary parts. =)

absolutely love this girl! natalie payne came to town a few weeks ago.... henry's face says it all...we were overjoyed to have her with us!

april 12

howdy y'all.

on our way into Culvers for a family date o dessert tonight sally said, "mom, this is the BEST date place ever!" =)

daisy kate is a monkey. and a cheetah. she climbs all over everything and she LOVES to run.
and we are settling into a bit of routine in the mornings again (its been random since H has been born) which i love..... dk is a morning girl like myself. each morning she has her apple juice, me with my coffee and the two of us read or tell stories or just hang out with Henry.

henry is now sleeping in his own room! ahhh he is soo big!.
and it's wonderful. he has been sleeping thru the night for the past 3 or 4 weeks.... so we decided it is time.
he is also ticklish now. adorable. i love it.
he loves swinging on the porch- he swings while we eat. and with spring here... we usually eat 2 meals a day out there.

as for gow- he worked an all nighter again last night. as i was brushing my teeth at 6am he appeared in our door (scared me) and then took a nap until 9 when he got up to work the rest of the day. he stopped at 4 to let me take a walk, we ate supper, took Ems to her bball practice, hit culvers for a family ice cream date and now he's back to work. pray for him- he's got two projects going at the same time and deadlines tomorrow and monday.

as for me. i am not sure if i am getting sick or what... am worn out and achey today. gonna go clean up the kitchen and then hit the hay.
